If you go down to the woods today...

Went on a trip to the woods with Ianto, our lovely Lurcher. There are lots of woodland areas in and around London and I haven't been to many of them. 

Great Leybourne Wood is situated just between Leybourne and nearby West Malling in Kent where you can find a quiet oasis of calm and tranquillity. 




The woods are around 100 acres of ancient and managed woodland bordered on one side by a gently flowing stream and on the other sides by major main roads. Any noise from the roads soon disappears as you walk through the maintained woodland trails that criss cross Leybourne Woods. 








Ianto loved it and was on high alert, ears twitching to every rustle and noise.











A word of warning however, if you ever plan to visit there is no car parking. Instead, you will have to find a spot on one of the country roads to leave your vehicle.
